| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Sep 8, 2004 Sold under private label, but it must be this beer: alcohol % fits and I know this beer was from Strubbe. Large bottle. Thick long lasting frothy head. Caramel and cacao, cinnamon. Sweetish with some porto flavors, probably because of ageing, this bottle was pretty old.Medium to full bodied, a bit sticky and a bit too much cinnamon. Papsoe (14996), Frederiksberg, Denmark

Head is initially average sized, frothy, off-white, mostly lasting.
Body is medium amber.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted bread/grain), lightly hoppy (flowers).
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter.
Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
Bit better than expected, although I thought this was actually brewed in Africa. Appears it’s just another one like Mongozo and Dju Dju. plovmand (1714), Helsinge, Denmark
