harlequinn (2746), Tacoma, Washington, USA Aug 6, 2006 Murky light brown pour with some amber edges. Aroma is toasted bread crumbs, and a bit of light fruitiness. Flavor is suprisingly sweet, caramel and some herbal grassy hoppiness. Very light spiciness, and very uncharateristic for the Dunkels that I have tried.
thedm (3405), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Jun 27, 2008 This bottled brew from Indianapolis, IN poured a large sized head of foamy finely sized off white colored mostly diminishing bubbles that left behind a transparent typically carbonated golden brown colored body and a thick lacing. The aroma was very mild with brown malt dough and hop notes. The mouth feel was mildly tingly and thick. Too thick for a dunk el. The flavor contained notes of mild brown malts and hops. Was not a very good brew. urbnhautebourg (930), Annapolis, Maryland, USA Jun 24, 2008 Labels this cool (not pictured) should signal a wonderful beer. Not so here. Very acidic and rather sour. I didn’t even finish it. Sad. IrishBoy (2043), Bakersfield, California, USA Jun 13, 2008 .5 L bottle from Hollingshead Deli; Nose is light spices, wheaty graininess, and a light molasses note; amber with a medium beige head; flavor is molasses with a tart note. Not very good for a dunkelweissen. yespr (5521), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jun 12, 2008 50 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a dense off-white head. Mild roasted and estery wheat aroma. Flavour is mild acidic and banana estery with a light roasted note, but only a vague one. Ends with a mild acidic touch. BlackDonald (696), On a beer trip all over the USA, California, USA Jun 5, 2008 This beer had the ability to be so much more. The nose is great, all the fruity pheolics are there, yeasty clove and banana, with a touch of honey sweet maltiness, but unfortunately little of that follows through onto the palate. Yesty spices are still there but slightly muddled in a watery cereal grain malitiness. Disappointing.
