A medium bodied Alt. Malts are fairly sweet and a touch spicy, mostly cinnamon and nutmeg. Hops are slightly spicy and not very bitter. It’s a touch watery and a little bland. Smooth taste. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet. acrdz (4376), Boulder, Colorado, USA Aug 11, 2004 Dark orange color. Very festive and musty nose of wood, harsh hay and grass. Flavor and mouthfeel is a crisp and smooth light grass. Sham (1846), Seattle, Washington, USA Jul 20, 2004 Amber with a little white head, and spotty lacing. Lager malt qualities, small dough and light citrus hops (lemons.) Flavor has more malts in it. Bittering hops with citrus and earthy hops. Tangy malt body, and a bitter alcohol finish.
Angeloregon (2002), Portland, Oregon, USA Dec 18, 2007 From a 22-oz bottle and at Brewery in PDX--Poured a mild amber body with a moderate white head. Rich malty sweet nose and flavor. Crispy and finished quite grainy. Good stuff.
