BlackDonald (610), On a beer trip all over the USA, California, USA Jun 5, 2008 Decent session pale ale. Definitely made in more of an English tradition, this is very malt forward, with the hops folowing ever so slightly in the background with some toffee flavors and a buttery herbal hop note in the finish. Exciting enough on the palate to not be boring, but not assertive enough to completely be a palate killer. Extremely drinkable. Man_vs_City (9), Redmond, Washington, USA does not count May 5, 2008 Twenty-two oz. bottle from Food Front Co Op in Portland, OR. Thick & foamy light tan head. Hops dominate the palate. Aroma mild. Light finish. Tasty beer with homemade bean burritos. Reid (978), Salem, Oregon, USA Feb 25, 2008 Bomber from Capital market,Salem.
Copper coloured, clear with a large creme coloured head.
Light, subdued aromas of malts and some hops.
Very malt driven Pale ale, toffeeish, creamy and almost English, the NW hopping does make an appearance near the end.
Pretty nice on the palate, quite full.
A nice middle of the road Pale Ale more English than American style IMO.
BuckeyeBoy (1013), Boise, Idaho, USA Jan 12, 2008 On Tap at Alameda Brewing Co. Portland, OR Pours out a amber topped with a cream head. A nice light aroma of hops. Tast of floral and citrus hops a little light malt. Pretty good. Sledge Jr (2692), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Dec 20, 2007 Sample at GABF 2007. Dark orange gold with a white head. I can’t get much of a nose out of this one. It’s a little bit floral with only a mild hop scent. More hop presence to the taste with a bit of orange and hop tongue bite. However, only a moderately good pale ale.
