harlequinn (2746), Tacoma, Washington, USA Jan 10, 2006 I had this on both sides, draft and on nitro. The nitro was way more intense with the hops and flavor profile. A translucent golden amber with a small creamy head and very sparse if any lacing. Nose is full of sweet fruits and honey. Floral and full of hops, the flavor profile has some chalky spiciness, almost hot, but again smoothed out in the back with creamy malts. This would go great with spicy food.
BlackDonald (1039), North Carolina, USA Jun 5, 2008 Citrusy soapy hoppiness in the nose, with a lighter bodied caramel maltiness. Not overly carbonated, with kind of a lighter bodied mouthfeel. Slightly bitter and astringent on the finish. not really my style. Angeloregon (2000), Portland, Oregon, USA Dec 18, 2007 This was the hoppiest beer until the El Torrero came along. Poued a nice copper-orange color with a small white head. Citrus hops presence and floral biscuity nose. NOt well balanced, finished a little thin, but overall a nice brew. superflashgo (9), Vancouver, Washington, USA does not count Nov 29, 2007 The aroma is nice and hoppy but doesn’t really grab you. Warm cloudy amber, color is on the light side. Nice citrusy hop flavor that’s balanced pretty well, but maybe a little harsh and detergenty. Overall my favorite of the Alameda’s brews! BillKismet (1439), Seattle, Washington, USA Oct 21, 2007 Easy peach-amber color with mild, hard to name hop aroma. Off-tasting hops. Sour and bitterish. raphael (277), Portland, Oregon, USA Apr 14, 2007 cloud orange amber, quick white head. light aroma of hops, lemon, hay. clena tasting, citrusy but not bitter, a little malt weight 9had this on tap at the pub, & i recommend happy hour)
