Commercial Description:
Richly malty and long on the palate, with just enough hop backing to make this beautiful amber colored "alt" style beer notably well-balanced.

From a 22 oz. bottle purchased locally. Aroma is fruity - apples with some plum. Color is a burnt amber orange with a tan head that went away fast. Malty, toasty, some biscuit and evenly balanced with bitterness. Medium bodied and finishes dry but just sits on the tongue. Still an easy drinking beer.

Pours a nice amber color with reddish hue. Nice balance of malt and hops. I like the alt beer twist.

Not a bad amber beer, can truly taste the angels from Alaska, but there seems to be something missing.

Pours amber, with lots of malt, apple and caramel on the aroma. Flavor is mild, sweet, and caramel. Hops are only mildly apparent in just a hint of grapefruit and maybe a bit of earthiness. Very drinkable, and since it’s an altbier, a bit of a change of pace from most ambers.

Bottle at Johnny Mac’s Good Times Tavern, Rock Springs, WY. Nice concentrated (not overwhelming) nose: cherry skin, sweet malt, mild wheat. Flavors of the same, with a rather thick texture. Quite clean for a ’common’ beer.

The bottle pours clear and true to name with fluffy beige head. It smells intensely of caramel and candied sugar or fruits, figs. The flavor is sweet as well. Heavy caramel notes with a slow finish. It’s very smooth, and light to medium bodied. Incredibly drinkable.

bottle - Pours light amber with a thin white head. It has a faint caramel malt aroma. The flavor is also mainly of caramel malt with a light hops and a light body. It’s actually pretty good for what it is.
