Commercial Description:
Richly malty and long on the palate, with just enough hop backing to make this beautiful amber colored "alt" style beer notably well-balanced.

12oz bottle. Pours a sweet amber color with a delicious white head. Tastes of malts with hints of citrus that is crisp. Good beer!

22oz bottle. Nice carbonation. Golden amber color. Flavor gently malty and fizzly on the tongue. Light syrup. Light body. Bitters become more noticeable the more you drink. A decent beer...

Bottle courtesy of jake65, pours hazy copper with little tan head. Aroma is sweet malt and taste is similar with some citrius notes. Nice mouthfeel with clean finish. Really like this beer. Wish I could get it regularly.

Draft and bottle, several occasions. Clear darkish copper with a three-finger head that lasts well. Malty, spicy molasses aroma. Flavor is deliciously spiced caramel, turning to baked biscuit, then the slight hop comes on to dry to a toasty cocoa and nutty finish. Medium body is smooth and sessionable.

On tap. Pours a hazy coppery color with a medium tan head that dissipates fairly soon. The aroma is an attractive malt-citrus mix. There is a flavor of caramel with just a hint of roasted barley. The maltiness is not overpowering, and there is a nice balance with the hops, The brew has a nice, soft mouthfeel and smooth finish. Serve with blackened salmon.

Hazy amber pour from a 12 oz bottle that can be found throughout Washington state but nowhere near where I live in Kentucky. I agree with other reviewers who say that fine, malty beer is quite sessionable.

Ruby. Copper. Very much a straight up session beer which I suppose it is here in the Pacific Northwest where I’m tasting it. It’s on most menus. A nice other beer, in place of the standard lineup most downtown bars have.

Nice clean amber/orange/red color with light white head. Malt profile prominent, nice body. Slight cloying finish. A good beer but was surprised by the off finish.
