gator2683 (133), Anchorage, Alaska, USA Mar 18, 2008 draft. clear coppor color, sweet malty beer with a little citruis. a nice local alternative to the macros drewbeerme (2224), Chicago, Illinois, USA Mar 15, 2008 12oz bottle. pours hazy amber with white head. nose is toasted biscuit and citrus. flavor is sweet toasted nuts and a bit sour grain mash. i dont like the flavor of this at all. BOLTZ7555 (1053), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Mar 15, 2008 Nice fluffy cotton head sits atop a moderately carbonated burnt orange body. The aroma is all malt with caramel & toffee dominant. Flavor is sweeter than most. A good drinkable session beer. Solid. mvcramer (229), Arlington, Massachusetts, USA Mar 15, 2008 Looked better than it tasted. Beautiful pour. Sweet malty notes and taste, but lacking that little bit of hop balance that this style requires. There are better ambers out there - this one is not the best, but certainly not a bad beer by any means. HughConway (364), Alabama, USA Mar 13, 2008 Bottle. Pours copper with thin head. Sweet malt aroma. Sweet taste maybe a hint of hops. Not bad, Not Great, Not my thing. drjay44 (758), Salida, Colorado, USA Mar 11, 2008 Rather unflavorful to my over hopped palate. But, good balance and pleasant overall. I think it would be better as a summer beverage, and I can tell that a week in the Utah desert would raise this up to a 4.5 or better. It is just a little light to what I have the good fortune to be consuming recently. biz82 (1328), austin, Texas, USA Mar 7, 2008 Clear copper, thin head. Toasted and caramel malt aroma with a hint of hops. Upfront this tastes sweet but the finish is quick and dry. Decent enough malt flavor but it has a little astringent bite. Bit on the watery side. jlucas5408 (18), USA Mar 7, 2008 This beer pours a good deep amber color into a glass. It has a Bavarian amber taste with a tad bit less hops and a much more smooth character. Finishes extremely clean. If only this was sold here.
