More pronounced hops with the biscuit aroma Smooth and clean but thin palate not as pleasant as either Uerige. Angeloregon (2024), Portland, Oregon, USA Sep 6, 2007 As the name indicates, a true amber. Small white head. Nutty robust malted nose. Slightly bitter but not as much so as most German alts. Sweet with earthy, fruity hints. Finished a little watery but quite nice overall. stison42 (318), Blacksburg, Virginia, USA Sep 3, 2007 Amber. Sweet malty aroma. Sweet, smooth, mild malty. CasperQuaffer (142), Casper, Wyoming, USA Aug 30, 2007 Toasty malt with slight caramel aroma. Pleasing autumn leaf color tending to fresh brewed ice tea. Flavor is balanced, smooth with a hint of maybe . . . butterscotch. The palate is both fizzy and a bit thick. This is an "old" standby for folks around here and deservedly so. BelgianBeerGal (1275), Sabbatical in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Aug 30, 2007 Updated: Nov 15, 2008Bottle and draft. Nice malty amber beer that is enjoyable with dinner. Clear copper colour but almost non-existant head.
