mcbackus (725), Merritt Island, Florida, USA Jun 22, 2007 bottle from irishboy: pours a clean clear amber orange colour with a thin line white head. aroma is sweet and all caramel malt. the flavour follows the nose being sweet and caramely with some breadiness. an ok beer. Emil (6075), Copenhagen, Denmark Jun 21, 2007 Bottle. A amber beer with a off-white head. The aroma and taste is of corn and caramel, light body with a light sweet finish. Boring. Grovlam (3790), Copenhagen, Denmark Jun 20, 2007 Bottle. Small fizzy head that very quickly disappeared. Clear and flat looking body with an amber color. Aroma of cookie, toffee, grain, peach and fruit. Medium bodied with an average carbonation. Moderated sweet fruity flavor with light bitterness. Finish off sweet and fruity. golubj (1275), Sunnyvale, California, USA Jun 18, 2007 Bottle. I got a bad bottle! There was no carbonation left and the beer tasted expired or something. I will re-rate in the future. Papsoe (14642), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 18, 2007 (Bottle 65 cl) Clear, amber golden with a small, off-white head. Lightly caramelish nose. Quite light-bodied with some fruity accents. Some bonbon-like soft notes. No real bitterness. 170607 mnurda (434), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Jun 13, 2007 From Juneua to the Sahar in Las vegas and back to Winnipeg. What a small world. Finally solved the mysterey of this beer being labeled Paco’s at the Sahara. Liked this one a lot. Would have it again (just in smaller quantities) BlondeBeerBunE (12), Lodi, California, USA Jun 13, 2007 Small frothy head out of the bottle with a beautiful carmel accent. I really enjoyed this one and was looking for more at the bottle of the glass. EithCubes (2140), Indiana, USA Jun 12, 2007 Bottle courtesy of jake65 - thanks! Malty, slightly caramellous aroma, dark with slight toast and roast. Slightly fruity. Clear copper body with a soapy beige head. Somewhat crisp beginning smooths out quickly, medium body with dominate caramel notes and lesser tones of red berries. Good balance between gentle sweetness and dry bitterness. Touch of that house toast-toffee which I love so much in their porter. Aftertaste maintains a dry fruitiness. Easy-drinking but, in the end, not all that interesting. duff’s comparison to a Newcastle Brown is apt, though this does not cloy. A very good Amber, yes, but NOT AN ALTBIER.
