Cavie (1317), Fort Worth, Texas, USA Jul 17, 2009 Tried this in the back of a tour bus on the way to a drum corps show. Decent smell. Has fruity notes and ferment. Tastes of cherries and aged fruit. Decent to say the least. michael-pollack (2601), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 13, 2009 12oz. Bottle: Aroma of malts and some caramel. Poured amber/orange in color with a tiny white head that disappeared immediately. Slightly cloudy. Slightly sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of malts, skunk, and caramel. Medium body. Oily texture. Skunk, malt and caramel finish. Not really an Alt, and not a beer I would buy again. thorongil2 (54), , Ontario, Canada Jul 8, 2009 Updated: Jul 9, 2009(bottle) dark amber colour, medium beige head; malty, bit dry and mineral flavour, long but mild bitter finish. Underwhelming rmussman (905), California, USA Jul 1, 2009 Sampled many times. Pours brown with a light amberness and has a good solid head on it. Drinks crisp and goes down nicely. A very high quality amber. scoth (266), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA Jul 1, 2009 Pours clear amber with a medium beige head, fine lasting lacing. Smells of caramel, bubblegum, banana and biscuit. Medium-thin body, smooth, mildly dry and crisp. Flavors of caramel, biscuit, apple, banana, citrus, with a slight mineral character. A light citrus and grass finish. Very drinkable. MeisterBrew (138), Cheyenne, Wyoming, USA Jun 27, 2009 Bottle. Pours a hazy amber with a good size beige head. Flavor and aroma are much the same: sweet caramel, malts. Very light on both counts. Not bad. beerledgend (919), Meadowbank Auckland, New Zealand Jun 24, 2009 Bright red in colour with ornage coloured head. Thin body but strong biscuit malty falvour. Unibonger (29), Mount Shasta, California, USA Jun 21, 2009 Pours a lovely amber with a solid head that has OK retention and delivers decent mouthfeel.
It smells very malty with no hint of the hops.
Has a lovely, smooth malty flavor. Little hop flavor.
