I was thrilled to find this beer in a 6-pack! As a beer style, Alt is an ale that is fermented and aged at lager temperatures. This gives this beer the caramel and nut flavors of an amber ale with the smoothness of a lager. Bravo!! duffman462 (160), Gainesville, Florida, USA

Flavor is pretty good and balanced. Aftertaste is a little off, I think. Could use some more bitterness....of course, I say that about every beer. This one is good overall. Pours average amber with a thin body and a quickly receding head. Candied apple, strawberry cake, and nuts in the nose. Earthy malt flavors with a slice of cinammon and sugar toast with a malted apple finish. Decent mouthfeel. Not too shabby; lite and refreshing. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 18, 2006 Bought this at a hole-in-the-wall beerstore in Vegas, just off the strip. I was expecting a straightforward friendly-but-dull amber-- and I was pretty blown away! Hazy orange-brown amber with a spicy butterscotch-caramel aroma. Lightly fruity with rich buttery malt and spices, this was a very flavourful beer. A little on the sweet side, but very good.
