Leaves a nice aftertaste along with a satisfying first taste. A beer I would often drink ohnoitskristin (62), Santa Cruz, California, USA Sep 10, 2006 Bottle. Poured a copper red color with a foamy white head. Aroma consisted of malts, hops and caramel. Very smooth and balanced flavor, I was really impressed with this beer. Hints of spice with a overriding yeast and hops flavor that left the palate nicely. Would definately pick this up again. benpickens (129), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Sep 9, 2006 Dark brown with a long lasting small head with ample lace. Smells of yeast and fresh bread. Slick mouthfeel with a malt and hops in balance finish. beerabill (14), Silverdale, Washington, USA Sep 7, 2006 This is the first craft beer I had ever tried, tasted it from the tap and bottle now many times. Pretty burnt red color, good milky head. Very tasty with fruit and spice coming through. Smooth mouth feel, and finish. Slight alcohol spice after taste. Not my primary interest, but certainly worthy of a taste. Has served well with almost all Italian, and Mexican food.
