Brilliantly clear amber with a nice white head and plenty of effervescent bubbles. Caramel malts bounce around in harmony with some toast and bitterness. Some tin in the flavor, but delish otherwise. Thanks Andre! thoreaubred (42), Seattle, Washington, USA

Other Alaskan brews seem a bit watered down by comparison. It makes sense that this is Alaskan’s most popular beer. bwoboe1 (1), Edina, Minnesota, USA does not count | 4.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 20/20 | Mar 25, 2006 The best beer in my opinion. To think it came from the great chilly north is a testament to the dedication and know how of the folks producing this beer up there. Amber Gold. alafito (334), tijuana, Mexico

It has a thick and malty, cedar colored body.. with a nice and lasting cream colored head. The smell and taste i got was sugar, honey and toffee. Little bitterness, goes down very smooth and light. Sweet oaky aftertaste, and like everybody says its a very drinkable beer. Since its light, sweet and tasty you will have more than one!!! chargerfanjess (116), San Diego, California, USA

Wish I could find this someone on tap, that would be awesome, i’ll be sure to pick this one up again. ross (1709), weddington, South Carolina, USA

Pretty malty, more easy to drink though, not bad all in all. I’d drink it again.
