Commercial Description:
Richly malty and long on the palate, with just enough hop backing to make this beautiful amber colored "alt" style beer notably well-balanced.

Sweet caramel in the aroma mixes with lightl roasted malts and some hops. Brilliantly clear amber with a nice white head and plenty of effervescent bubbles. Caramel malts bounce around in harmony with some toast and bitterness. Some tin in the flavor, but delish otherwise. Thanks Andre!

This is one of my favorite amber ales. Very well balanced and full of flavor. Other Alaskan brews seem a bit watered down by comparison. It makes sense that this is Alaskan’s most popular beer.

The best beer in my opinion. To think it came from the great chilly north is a testament to the dedication and know how of the folks producing this beer up there. Amber Gold.

Well this is my first altbier so i dont know what others taste like, but i think this beer is close to perfect as a casual drinking beer. It has a thick and malty, cedar colored body.. with a nice and lasting cream colored head. The smell and taste i got was sugar, honey and toffee. Little bitterness, goes down very smooth and light. Sweet oaky aftertaste, and like everybody says its a very drinkable beer. Since its light, sweet and tasty you will have more than one!!!

Draft - A red amber colored beer with a light tan head. A citrus malty aroma. I thought this had a great amount of malt and hops. Tasted a bit like an IPA.

First alt beer. Fruity in flavor with nice head. Surprised with how much malt this drink had. Wish I could find this someone on tap, that would be awesome, i’ll be sure to pick this one up again.

I am not too familiar with altbiers, this is my first - but to me this tasted like nothing more than a red, lighter scotch ale. Pretty malty, more easy to drink though, not bad all in all. I’d drink it again.
