Commercial Description:
Richly malty and long on the palate, with just enough hop backing to make this beautiful amber colored "alt" style beer notably well-balanced.

Pours a thick amber brown, with a large tan head. Tastes were of malts, roastiness, caramels, and hazelnut. Light amount of hopiness to finish. One of my favorite brews. <P> Rerate 2/24/08: Draft: Pours golden with a large white head. Nose is malty and earthy, light florals and bits of toffee. Flavor is earthy and malty. Roasty tones and nuttiness. Still one of my go-to brews when the pickins are slim.

This is one of my favoite ambers. Rich and malty on the palate and lingers for quite some time. Awsome amber color, nice white head, great nutty and caramel flavor.

Pours a goldern amber with almost no head. Aroma of caramel, hops and malts. Somewhat overly carbonated with a dry aftertaste. Tastes of caramel, malts, and nuts.

Courtesy of fordest. Bottle. Aroma light and sweet caramel. Poured just like the label indicated. Flavor was all malts, sweet and caramel. Palate was good. Overall this was just solid, a nice drinker something you could easily have a few more.

Pours ruddy amber with moderate carbonation. Not much in the way of aroma, just light and sweet. Starts sharp, really the only hop bitter in there - then the malt quickly takes over. Moves on pretty smooth.

Bottle: poured clear amber with a small off white head. Light fruit and hop aroma. Good clean flavor. Light notes of fruit with just a touch of hops and light sweetness. Very easy drinking. Good beer.
