Commercial Description:
Richly malty and long on the palate, with just enough hop backing to make this beautiful amber colored "alt" style beer notably well-balanced.

Drank from the bottle in Anchorage. Dark amber colored, with an extremely small head. Tasted great, particularly on a cold Alaska day.

12 oz bottle. Poured a dark copper, thin off-white head, torrents of rising carbonation. Strong malty nose with perfumy hops in the background. Sweet caramel malt flavor with a lightly bitter finish. Very well balanced. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Very drinkable nicely balanced Alt. Good intro beer to those new to the sport.

On tap. Decided to finally give it a try, and I was glad I did. Enjoyed from first sip to the end of my second 25oz mug. Don’t know why I waited so long to give it a try. Very smooth flavor, sweet, but not overly so. More malty than hoppy, but that was a good thing. Great beer.

(bottle) Deep amber color. Head fades immediately. Caramel malt aroma. Flavor is sweet malt with caramel, some nuttiness. A bit lacking in hops for the finish.

12oz Bottle from Fordest. Pours a ruby amber color with minimal fizzy head. Nose is almost vacant, some light caramel notes here and there. Taste is very nice though. A great malt feeling, rich nuttiness, and some sweet caramel, rounded out with a nice bitter finish.

I really like this beer, but the first time I had it was during a vacation in Alaska, so my perception may be slightly skewed. Pours a deep amber, flavor is sweet malts, finish is slightly bitter and dry. A very good session beer

Don’t know how I went so long without trying this, I guess I thought it would be just plain average. Nice sweet/malty flavor, super smooth and silky on the palate, with no bitterness or off flavors. Maybe it was because it was fresh off the tap, but it was too easy to put 3 pints away. I’m going to buy some bottles of this.

12 oz bottle. Pours an amberish amber, with a decent head that didn’t last long. Aromas were mostly malty and a decent hop character in the flavor. Slightly bitter finish. OK beer.
