Mar 23, 2005 Tap@toad in a hole. Reddish orange body, hazy, off-white head; nice lacing. Lightly musky; malt-laden; caramel, honey, brown sugar, molasses; yeasty--baked bread; toasted grains on aroma. Light bodied with lots of foamy carbonation; fairly dry. Flavor is musky; sour fruits and rising dough; caramel malts, toffee, chocolate; finish is grains and lightly toasty. The body is WAY too light to have such foamy carbonation and while well designed, the beer is pretty plain.

Mar 17, 2005 Bottle. Large, white head with light aroma with hints of apple. Clear amber appearance. Decent start, with a light hoopiness with a strong touch of malt. Light bitter finish. Very drinkable and tasty.

Mar 13, 2005 Updated: Apr 2, 2005I could session beer this...but it didn’t take me back to Gemany. Not to much head. Decent amounts of malts on the nose. Not to much mouthfeel, I have a smoked porter, and i’m am looking forwrd to tasting that.

Mar 10, 2005 Nose has apple, pineapple, cherry, strawberry, dusty almost bocky malt. Flavor is soft fruitiness, strong rich malt, a bit of cola in the finish. I don’t remember liking any other alts this much.

Pours a clear dark amber color with a large 2" head.
Head settles slowly and leaves spotty lacing.
Aroma is sligty caramel, with some light graininess.
Body is light.
Flavor is lightly sweet, caramel, toffee with just a sint of hops to keep the sweeness in check.
Overall an easy drinking sesion beer.

Feb 20, 2005 Thanks to Buck Dich for this. Alts tend to be "middle-of-the-road", but this one has pizzazz. Pours deep copper with medium off-white head. Aroma of caramel malts, toffee, cognac, slight brown sugar. Tastes malty, with caramel, toffee, slight honey and brown sugar, and some finishing hops. Extremely smooth palate. Fabulous. A top notch altbier.

Feb 19, 2005 Nice amber color.... the head is gone fairly fast. This beer is very sweet... light hops. This is a overall good beer. Especially if you like it a bit sweet.

Feb 16, 2005 Hops and malt come together in a harmonious blend in the nose. A bit on the maltier side up front, quite creamy smooth for an amber. Medium/heavy mouthfeel was a pleasant surprise. Quite nice
