This was one of my first ratings, so it was not very strict. aroma full of malt, rasins, and more malt. Flavor was more of the same, but with pears and bananas. Old world barleywine mini? Apple cider finish-quite complex. No hops to speak of other than in the long part of the finish. Schell schmaltz alt is IMO better. This sample had a bad metallic mid section to it. Thanks to Buck_Dich for this one. fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA
