Jan 20, 2006 Quite a nice flavor, nutty, and malty, but sweetens up abit too much for my liking, still a nice beer though, just a little too sweet. I would drink it on occasion.

Jun 8, 2009 Thanks Shawntana. Amber with a quickly dissipating off white head. Aroma of caramel with some mild bready malts and a hint of nuttiness. Taste of caramel malts, mild fruits with a mild hop finish. A touch over carbonated but went down pretty easy.

re-rated directly from bottle...for some reason it is much richer and full bodied when sipped right out of the bottle. the flavor gets an upgrade. now there are hints of honey, licorice root and dried herbs...

Jul 15, 2004 Bottle pours a light amber with a small fizzy head that leaves little lacing. Aroma is a bit sweet and distinctly apple. The slightly fruity sweet flavor is ther as well. Lively carbonation and a dry hoppy finish. Pretty good and light enough to be quite refreshing.

Pours a very nice looking amber with minimal off-white head...
Has a light pleasing aroma of caramel, hops, I wish it was slightly stronger. Flavor of light caramel and hops, with nice slight hoppy bitter. Mouth feel was medium body, high carbonation. Not bad at all....wish I had another.....

Jan 11, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear amber color with very little head. Aroma of light toasted malts and subtle hops, but besides that a very clean aroma. Taste is a bit on the sweet side, but still very malty, with some caramel spiciness coming out on the back end. Palate is quite thick considering the 5% ABV. Very drinkable, but unexciting.

Aug 13, 2005 On tap from a food/beer vendor at Portland’s Saturday Market. Not really amber, more like a cloudy golden/copper with a white head. Aroma of grain, citrus and some floral hops. Flavor has notes of caramel, grain, hops and zesty lemon/citrus. Nice sweetness with some bitter hops at the end. Medium bodied with a smooth texture and lively carbontion. Average. I wouldn’t consider this an altbier.
