Feb 2, 2004 Ack! Count me out on this one. Maybe it's because I had managed to drink some very good beers and it just clashed with them, but seemed cloyingly sweet. I left the pint in a bar with friends and wandered to another and back and not only was the pint still there, but the people at the table had all taken sips and said not one of them cared for it. Bland plus sweet does not make a beer for me. Tried it again in airport and thought the same.

Nov 14, 2005 (bottle) Deep amber color. Head fades immediately. Caramel malt aroma. Flavor is sweet malt with caramel, some nuttiness. A bit lacking in hops for the finish.

Mar 7, 2008 Clear copper, thin head. Toasted and caramel malt aroma with a hint of hops. Upfront this tastes sweet but the finish is quick and dry. Decent enough malt flavor but it has a little astringent bite. Bit on the watery side.

Apr 18, 2007 Updated: Apr 26, 2007tap... came out a clear ruby red with little to no head. Sweet malty aroma, flavors of malt, caramel and something else sweet that reminded me of twizzlers. Not enough hop backing as I would hope.

Aug 30, 2007 Updated: Nov 15, 2008Bottle and draft. Nice malty amber beer that is enjoyable with dinner. Clear copper colour but almost non-existant head.

Apr 27, 2009 Hazy dark amber color with a beige head. Aroma and flavor are pretty sweet with caramel and some fruit. Thanks to Dogbrick for the trade.

Feb 16, 2004 Decent appearing beer, pours nice copper color with a rapidly diminishing off white head. Aroma is interesting. Smells malty and kinda aged. Flavor is nothing to write home about. Light malt sweetness on the front end. The finish is nice and spicy with some serious astringency.

Jun 18, 2007 Bottle. I got a bad bottle! There was no carbonation left and the beer tasted expired or something. I will re-rate in the future.
