Nice head, even with only my 6 oz sample. Mouthfeel was thick and almost sticky. Flavor was sweet malts, some nuttyness and some mild european type bittering hops in the end. Complex and enjoyable. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 29, 2007 Draft at Billy’s Bar and Grille in Aberdeen, WA on 7/23/07. Clear deep copper with a creamy off white head . Molasses aroma, little in the way of hops in the aroma. Smooth medium body with a hint of stickiness. This is just a bit too sweet for me, and the finish reflects the malt dominance. Gregis (1135), Shawnee, Kansas, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 24, 2009 Pours a hazy dark tea with a small beige head that diminishes to a thin cap. The nose is of sweet, burnt sugar and dark bready malt notes. There is a slightly odd plastic/artificial note in there as well, but fortunately it fades with time as the beer warms. Light-bodied and assertively carbonated with a drying, mildly astringent finish. The flavor follows the nose after the aforementioned "off" note has faded. This is a solid session beer but not much more. Kaya161 (1129), San Diego, California, USA

Nice malty nose and smooth buttery malt flavour. dolemike1 (1129), Jeannette, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 20, 2004 I’ve had an Alaskan amber shirt for almost 2 years now and I finally just now got to actually drink it. Obviously amber in color, moderately malty in aroma in taste, quite refreshing after a hard day fishing in Idaho.
