Commercial Description:
Richly malty and long on the palate, with just enough hop backing to make this beautiful amber colored "alt" style beer notably well-balanced.

This is definitely the best "Alt" I have had yet. Aroma is a bit nutty, deep amber color. Nice sweetness, bitter finish. Try this beer!

Pours a light reddish-amber. Aroma is mild and hoppy. Flavor has a smooth, doughy maltiness and some light hops. A nice, easy drinkable beer.

Amber color, off white head, spices in aroma. Creamy palate with toasted malt flavor. I very much enjoyed this though I don’t recall what the alt style is supposed to be like.

To my mind built in a lighter weight scotch ale style. No head retention, looks like cola. Not much happening smell wise. Starts off well in the mouth but falls away in the back half. Cola trait is offputting. (Crap note I know!).

Clear orange-amber color, really small quickly gone head. Light malt nose. Flavor starts sweet and buttery and finishes sweet, almost too sweet. Needs a touch of hop IMHO.

Pours a goldern amber with almost no head. Aroma of caramel, hops and malts. Somewhat overly carbonated with a dry aftertaste. Tastes of caramel, malts, and nuts.

9-13-07 bottle. Amber pour with just okay head. Very malty smell. More flavor needed. Little bit of coating on the tongue. Decent overall.

I was surprised I never rated this. So I purchased a 6-pack at Ralph’s in Riverside, CA. Pours a hazy copper color with a thin, lingering white head. Nice, sweet malty aroma. Some hoppiness as well. Nice, well-balanced flavor. Citrus notes, as well as some sweet hops. Seems to get stronger as you drink it. A good beer I wish we had back east.
