A malty, light bodied brew that would be a good session pick, but for me there is a middle taste, sort of metallic, that spoils the experience. Would like to try this one on draft and re-rate. beachbum25 (786), Powellville, Maryland, USA

Pours a beautiful mahogany/copper color w/a small off white head. Malty, grassy, slightly roasted aroma. Sweet, roasted, floral, malty taste. Just enough hops to balance out the finish. Long grainy hoppy finish. Very smooth, very drinkable, very enjoyable. Would definately be a good sesson beer. I’ve always wanted to try this beer and have finally gotten the chance. Thanks for the trade!! fakepurseninja (785), Washington, USA

Shades the Flat Tire in my own little amber ale taste off, even though it ain’t in quite as good condition. Bot only just. Why? Better balancing hop and toasty malt (i.e. there is a little there if oyu look for it) beervana (781), Libertyville, Illinois, USA

Poured clear amber with small off-white head. No discernable carbonation. Medium bodied ale that starts with light malt sweetness and caramel/toasted malt flavors. Finished dry with light malt fade. No discernable hop presence. Smooth and well-balanced. A very good drinkable ale. Bradrcr (780), Renton, Washington, USA

Aroma is a light malty sweetness forward, with citrus, apple, slight graininess and caramel. Appearance is medium amber with a good off-white head. Flavor is malt sweetness forward with medium bittering balance, sourness, caramel, and light roast. The flavors do not blend all that well, which is too bad because there’s good complexity here. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium/low carb feel and a very dry finish. Overall, not bad, but it’s a little too dry to have more than one, and not bitter enough for a northern german altbier.
