Commercial Description:
Richly malty and long on the palate, with just enough hop backing to make this beautiful amber colored "alt" style beer notably well-balanced.

Mahogany in color. Little head, malty nose. Light hops and slightly tart. Mild esters in the finish. Smooth, nothing spectacular.

Selected this on tap at a theater pub. Not a lot of choices and I’ve seen this rated well by others. Nice full taste for an amber. Well balanced, nice 3/4 inch head, good lacings. Enjoyed the beer and the movie. Recommended. Update: Have had a few bottles since and must up-rate this some. Nice amber.

22 oz bottle. Pours a clear reddish amber with a fine off white head that goes to a thin film that laces the glass.

The aroma is sweet caramel malts, toffee and some fruit.

The flavor is slightly sweet caramel, toffee and biscuits with a little fruitiness and enough bitterness at the finish to balance it well. The mouthfeel is medium bodied.

Overall, nothing too exciting but this is a well made, well balanced and enjoyable brew. This reminded me a bit of Fat Tire, but better.

Bottle. Pours a clear reddish amber with a minimal head. Nose is clean, malt and caramel. Flavor is smooth, sweetness and malt with just a hop sprinkle to allow the other flavors the opportunity to be heard. Definately a beer to have more than one of, unfortunately I only had one :-(.

#536 (Mickey Mantle) Nice malty aroma giving way to fruitiness, medium body, medium flavor, medium to watery palate, pretty much a regular old amber micro. A better thing to have come out of Alaska than its politicians.

Good amber pour, decent head. Not overly powerful to smell, but has some interesting carmel, fruity malt qualities. Fairly well balanced, on the chewy side. Solid brew but not extremely noteworthy.

Not much going on with this beer. Pretty weak malt flavor without any hops at all. Highly carbonated. Toasty rye bread taste dominates. Lightly sweet, without a trace of bitterness. Watery finish.

It took some warming up to get this beer to have much flavor (was served too cold). Caramel predominated, slight grainy-ness decent hops, solid head.
