Oct 27, 2006 Updated: Oct 30, 200612 oz bottle via Roth’s. Pours a crystal clear dark reddish amber with a nice average size dense head. Nose is a bit fruity, perhaps some cherries- with some caramel and molasses prevalent. And it is pretty sweet. Sort of a cross between a sweet nutty brown Ale and an amber ale. The hops are very subdued, perhaps they are British hops. Nice easy to drink tastey beer.

May 18, 2007 Updated: Jun 5, 2007One of my all-time favorites. Discovered it on a Princess Cruise/Land Tour of Alaska in 2005. Loved it so much I lugged two cases back to Florida with me. Amber color with lots of caramel and malt, with some faint spice. Very smooth and easy to drink. Love it. Wish I could find it in Florida.

Mar 22, 2006 Updated: May 1, 2006Well this is my first altbier so i dont know what others taste like, but i think this beer is close to perfect as a casual drinking beer. It has a thick and malty, cedar colored body.. with a nice and lasting cream colored head. The smell and taste i got was sugar,honey and toffee. Little bitterness, goes down very smooth and light. Sweet oaky aftertaste, and like everybody says its a very drinkable beer. Since its light, sweet and tasty you will have more than one!!!

Oct 24, 2007 Thanks to Skyview for sharing. Pours a nice clear auburn like color. Nice sweet nose of toffee, pear, sweet biscuity malt, and a hint of granny smith apple. Nice balanced flavor that exudes a strong pear like fruity sweetness as well as a light dose of floral hops, banana, and biscuity malt. Nice light floral hoppiness on the finish with a light hint of the fruit. A very solid session beer.

22oz bottle that was amber in color (no surprise right?). The smell was a very nice fruity aroma. I liked it. The taste however was kinda funky and departed from the smell. It was very easy to drink and I thought it would be a decent session beer but I am going to have to drink this a second time to form a good opinion.
