22oz bottle that was amber in color (no surprise right?). The smell was a very nice fruity aroma. I liked it. The taste however was kinda funky and departed from the smell. It was very easy to drink and I thought it would be a decent session beer but I am going to have to drink this a second time to form a good opinion.

May 30, 2008 Draft and bottle, several occasions. Clear darkish copper with a three-finger head that lasts well. Malty, spicy molasses aroma. Flavor is deliciously spiced caramel, turning to baked biscuit, then the slight hop comes on to dry to a toasty cocoa and nutty finish. Medium body is smooth and sessionable.

Mar 8, 2007 Updated: Mar 9, 2007Poured from the bottle - Nice amber color with a decent head. Sweet tasting fruity with hops and malt. Smooth drinking beer. Another of my affordable standbys which is currently available at my local Costco.

Sep 19, 2009 A: Poured with a large, off-white, fizzy head that diminished to a size of about 1/4-finger, and stayed that way until she was all gone.
S: Smells of average malt, kind of a cookie-like aroma.
T: Mmmm, this is a sweet beer... starts with sweetness and ends with sweetness, with a faint touch of bitterness at the end as well. Average duration, goes down very smooth.
M: Light-bodied and slightly creamy, with average carbonation.
D: A very enjoyable altbier; don’t have too many experiences with the style right now to compare, but this was my third Alaskan Amber and I enjoy it every time. Extremely drinkable.

Jun 21, 2009 Pours a lovely amber with a solid head that has OK retention and delivers decent mouthfeel.
It smells very malty with no hint of the hops.
Has a lovely, smooth malty flavor. Little hop flavor.

Aug 2, 2009 A pretty nice little beer, pouring (of course) a rich amber and with s smallish, off-white head that didn’t last very long. Aroma is rather subdued, but the taste is mildly malty with some hop as well. Smooth and refreshing, I’d like more of these.

Sep 10, 2009 On tap at the Knitting Factory. Flavors of nut and roasted malt permeate this beautiful beer. Not bad at all. I used to not be a fan of this one. I guess my tastes are changing?
