Has a pleasant, sparkly light copper appearance with a decent off white head with a wee bit of lacing. No real noticeable aroma. Has a bit of an sweet caramel flavor to it - very drinkable. One of the best Alts I have had. Loses a bit of its luster near the end however. presario (3009), Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Light caramel flavour with hop finish. Nice pub pint. Works everywhere that the Pale did not. badgerben (3605), Blaine, Minnesota, USA

Fruity aroma. Taste was fairly grainy along with some regular malt tastes. A little dry on the backside, but quite a tasty brew. Update: This time I found more maple in the aroma. The taste is still predominantly grainy, but has a hit of rye or pumpernickel. Poperinge (359), Cowtown, Alberta, Canada

Not really an Alt beer. Had this at Calgary’s Millennium Mirco Brewery Stampede. Page 15 of Michael Jackson’s Great Beer Guide and only 199 of his Classic Brews to go. Spiced right and nicely balanced- colour was a golden-brown with a lasting fizz. Mouthfeel was a little thin. Easy to drink and nice all-round. Crosling (1856), Loveland, Colorado, USA

Deep Red.
Very pleasant mulched apple aroma covering grapes, toasted grain and sweet malts.
This is a very good Alt. The fruitiness comes abound first. It’s all over the palate and oh so pleasant. Caramel and sweet malts next. The finish makes you know it’s an Alt beer. It’s crisp, clean, dry and nutty. The hops are minimal but balance this beer well.
I’m very surprised with this offering. Nice stuff. Guitarsessions (21), Crestline, California, USA

This is a overall good beer. Especially if you like it a bit sweet. Thaichile (599), 10aFly, New Jersey, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 30, 2006 Bottle. Pours a clear reddish amber with a minimal head. Nose is clean, malt and caramel. Flavor is smooth, sweetness and malt with just a hop sprinkle to allow the other flavors the opportunity to be heard. Definately a beer to have more than one of, unfortunately I only had one :-(.
