Commercial Description:
Richly malty and long on the palate, with just enough hop backing to make this beautiful amber colored "alt" style beer notably well-balanced.

This is a good solid beer but I find that it has a kind of sour, almost skunky, aftertaste - not real bad but a bit annoying. It also kind of ’sticks’ to your mouth.

I’ve had an Alaskan amber shirt for almost 2 years now and I finally just now got to actually drink it. Obviously amber in color, moderately malty in aroma in taste, quite refreshing after a hard day fishing in Idaho.

Copper red-amber with a creamy tan head. Smoky, roasted malt aromas. Soft, fruity flavors pervades the generous maltiness of this beer. Floral hops round out the caramel malts. A smooth and balanced beer.

Pours a deep amber with a really nice head. Aromas are nutty and sweet with some anise in the background. A good firm body with some nice mild noble hop flavor. Great session beer.

ReRate:bottle-Well, this brew was not like i remembered it to be. This was one of my first ratings, so it was not very strict. aroma full of malt, rasins, and more malt. Flavor was more of the same, but with pears and bananas. Old world barleywine mini? Apple cider finish-quite complex. No hops to speak of other than in the long part of the finish. Schell schmaltz alt is IMO better. This sample had a bad metallic mid section to it. Thanks to Buck_Dich for this one.

Poured a clear deep amber color with a small off-white head. Sweet caramel aroma. The flavor was sweet and malty with an earthy hop on the crisp finish. Semi-dry finish.

Thanks for the bottle, Dansting. Dark copper body with a quickly dissapting khaki head. The aroma is rich with some chocolate, oranges and good bread. The taste is The taste is sweet with some caramel and iced tea. There is also some light chocolate. There gets to be a stronger cocoa note as you drink this. A nice chane of pace, but a little sweet for me.
