Commercial Description:
Richly malty and long on the palate, with just enough hop backing to make this beautiful amber colored "alt" style beer notably well-balanced.

I think this is the most over-rated beer. Good color but very dry and doesn’t leave a necessarily good taste in your mouth. If you like macro beer you’ll probably like this. Don’t get too excited though.

Had this on tap at Pap. The 7 for aroma is the malts. Reminded me of as a kid ridding past the malt house in the back of the Brady wagon. Otherwise not a beer for me.

9/15/05 Had one at the BOB in Phoenix. Missed something in this beer first time arround. More balance in the flavor that gave me a better impression of this beer.

This is a better than average amber ale. I liked it, it is a little heavy.

Pours an amber color with a small quickly receding white head. The aroma is malt. Flavor is sweet, malty, with faint bitter hoppy aftertaste. Good mouthfeel, smooth and well balanced. Good brew.

Usual appearance, good initial head and good lacing, amber colored (not as deep a copper as I like in an alt). Malts were mildly sweet and moderately rich

Draft at Von’s Seattle. A typical amber in color -- a nice, deep russet -- and in flavor -- a good balance between sweet and bitter. A well-executed amber.

Looks nicer than it tastes, with an unsurprising clear dark amber filling the glass. Smells malty and nutty, tastes the same with some slight caramel. Light hops are welcome. The malt is pretty good in this one, pretty flavorful and not too watery. It’s not a beer that’s going to change your life but I like it a lot more than the other ambers I’ve had.

Hazy amber pour from a 12 oz bottle that can be found throughout Washington state but nowhere near where I live in Kentucky. I agree with other reviewers who say that fine, malty beer is quite sessionable.
