Feb 18, 2006 Bottle: poured clear amber with a small off white head. Light fruit and hop aroma. Good clean flavor. Light notes of fruit with just a touch of hops and light sweetness. Very easy drinking. Good beer.

May 6, 2008 Pours a light reddish-amber. Aroma is mild and hoppy. Flavor has a smooth, doughy maltiness and some light hops. A nice, easy drinkable beer.

Sep 25, 2006 Bottle. Indian red pour. Dissipating head. Malty, clean taste. Surprisingly sweet, high carbonation. As good straight from the bottle as from a glass.

Aug 15, 2006 Bottle sampled with Stegosaurus, obtained through my west coast connection. Pours deep amber with an eggshell colored head. Aroma of sweetness and caramel. The flavor is much the same with carbonation sneaking in there as well as its watery body.

Jul 1, 2007 7/01/2007: According to the label, Alaskan Amber is an "Alt Style Beer". The color of this beer is clear amber with a golden hue. The carbonation is lively, but there is only a thin, quickly dissipating head on the surface. Toasted grains, caramel malt, and some hints of darker roasted malts can be found in the aroma. It smells and tastes strong like an altbier, but not in an alcoholic kind of way; it is more of a deep maltiness. The flavor is roasty caramel malts with some darker malt flavor hiding in the background. The finish is short and dry, but has some butter toffee flavor to it. The overall flavor of this beer is somewhat sweet with just a little bit of bitterness to create a balanced flavor. This beer has a medium body and an average palate. Overall this is a pretty good beer. It is better than most Amber Ales, but somewhat lacking as an Altbier...
