| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 7, 2004 Pretty amber color out of the bottle with a small beige head and a slightly roasted malt nose. Some white sugar sweetness with apple juice notes. Faint hop notes keep it from being entirely one dimensional. Okay beer with food. KingPinHead (390), Des Moines, Washington, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 25, 2002 7/19/02: Aroma is mildly caramelly and modestly attractive. Color is a nice amber with just an adequate head. Flavor features a mellow maltiness and nicely rounded body, but is decidedly lacking in meaningful hop profile, which finally joins its malty cohort in the finish. With fairly low carbonation, the lack of hop presence really hurts the balance of this brew. This is very smooth and drinkable but just misses the mark a little. 7/25/02: No changes in judgment. This really does have a nice malt foundation, but is relatively one-dimensional--wish it had a little more complexity and balance. Padron4KM (400), Chandler, Arizona, USA

Head settles slowly and leaves spotty lacing.
Aroma is sligty caramel, with some light graininess.
Body is light.
Flavor is lightly sweet, caramel, toffee with just a sint of hops to keep the sweeness in check.
Overall an easy drinking sesion beer. VTHopHead (915), Barre, Vermont, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 14, 2005 Bottle - Pours a nice copper color with little head or carbonation. Aroma is of caramely malt with just a slight hint of hops. Flavor is well balanced for the style and is of mildy roasted malt without the harsh bitterness of deeply roasted malt and, again, enough hops to balance the malt sweetness. A fairly good effort... reminds me of Otter Creek Copper Ale back home. drjay44 (788), Salida, Colorado, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 11, 2008 Rather unflavorful to my over hopped palate. But, good balance and pleasant overall. I think it would be better as a summer beverage, and I can tell that a week in the Utah desert would raise this up to a 4.5 or better. It is just a little light to what I have the good fortune to be consuming recently. Oscbert (540), Sacramento, California, USA

~Sweet and spicy scent. Caramel and nutmeg.
~Malty biscuit flavor. Sweet, but with a bit of spice.
~Medium feel with carbonation tingles.
~Well balanced brew. Taste good anytime of year. Spice reminds me of the holidays though. Not very interesting.
