| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 25, 2002 7/19/02: Aroma is mildly caramelly and modestly attractive. Color is a nice amber with just an adequate head. Flavor features a mellow maltiness and nicely rounded body, but is decidedly lacking in meaningful hop profile, which finally joins its malty cohort in the finish. With fairly low carbonation, the lack of hop presence really hurts the balance of this brew. This is very smooth and drinkable but just misses the mark a little. 7/25/02: No changes in judgment. This really does have a nice malt foundation, but is relatively one-dimensional--wish it had a little more complexity and balance. SDbruboy (1832), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 21, 2003 Bottle, poured dark amber with a small and rapidly diminishing head. Carmel malt dominates the aroma, alfalfa and hops also present. Flavor is sweet, slightly spicey with a mild bitter finish. Smooth palate with good carbonation. Not anything extraordinary, just a nice amber ale. steve23mj (273), Essexville, Michigan, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 10, 2008 Pours with an amber/copper hue with a white head that was mostly diminishing after 2 minutes. Aroma of caramel, malts, some nuts, metal, and some very light hoppiness. I really enjoyed this aroma.
Flavor has a sweet beginning with some citrus flavoring along with some other fruits. The end is hoppy.
Light-Moderate carbonation with a light body.
A decent beer, that I will look for again!
