It is not weak, lots of flavor, yet very smooth. Very drinkable and enjoyable. Flavors are light however bold at the same time. An excellent beer! Shadallion (526), Sacramento, California, USA

This is one of those beers that is much better on tap than in the bottle, so try it if you see it in a bar. An excellent brew to get for your friends who are leary about micros, as its so drinkable that won’t find it offense. For the rest of us, notice the great rounded-malt flavors. Puts Samuel Adams Boston Lager (also broadly in the alt style) to shame. jah noth (1020), Rochester, New York, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Mar 31, 2006 Sweet caramel in the aroma mixes with lightl roasted malts and some hops. Brilliantly clear amber with a nice white head and plenty of effervescent bubbles. Caramel malts bounce around in harmony with some toast and bitterness. Some tin in the flavor, but delish otherwise. Thanks Andre! Gregory (357), Pullman, Washington, USA

Definately the one I missed when I was outside of the great northwest. Wonderfully malty, comlex. Get flavors, of caramel, toffee, roasted malts, nuts, rich, nice sweetness, with just a hint of hops to finish off. Outstanding beer. motorcycleguy (10), USA

Wonderful aftertaste that I cannot describe. Usually ask at a restaurant if they have it on tap, if not, we usually don’t return. (it’s that much of a great pre-dinner beer for me). I have found different batches taste different. Alaskan needs to pay attention to their consistency (or maybe that is their plan ?) If you find it on tap before dinner, Enjoy! davidoc (113), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Tasted great, particularly on a cold Alaska day. Head was light and did not last long. Taste is smooth and sweet. A very drinkable beer. Goes GREAT with Buffalo wings or ribs. I hope to be able to find this quality beer in the lower 48! (I enjoyed this beer at TGI Friday's in Anchorage, AK)
