jerc (3212), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 19, 2004 Orange amber body with smallish off white head. Sweet slightly toasty caramel in the aroma. The flavour is likewise, with a sweet maltiness supporting the caramel. Very sweet but not cloyingly so. Light but very smooth mouthfeel. My Mom went to Alaska and all I got was this tasty beer! :)
Edgekrusher (58), , Alabama, USA Oct 8, 2008 Bottled. Very Drinkable. Not a bad beer. Small head and very little hop aroma. BlackForestCO (549), Fort Collins and Black Forest, Colorado, USA Sep 30, 2008 Bottle. Poured a clear copper color with a thick, rocky off-white head that slowly receded and left some spotty lacing. Aroma of lightly toasted caramel malts, a light metallic aroma, and some light earthy hops. Smooth, lightly sweet entry with a bit of ice tea flavor that leads into a light fruitiness and some soft caramel that transitions into a light noble hoppiness on the finish. Low carbonation and smooth on the palate. Definitely an easy drinker. iowaherkeye (1413), relocated to Santa Rosa f/Iowa, California, USA Sep 25, 2008 22oz bottle, A081908--not sure if this is the bottled on or best by date, purchased from Bottle Barn earlier today. Clear copper amber with a one finger yellowish white head, fair retention. Aroma of fruity, caramel, and toasted malts up front with some metallic notes. Flavor is the same with some light noble hops keeping things from getting too sweet. Bitterness peaks at a 3. Moderate carbonation with a light body. Not too bad--glad I got to finally try it. Gypsy19 (218), AMERICA RISING, USA Sep 17, 2008 A neutral, pleasant ale of marginal hoppiness and malt, slight fruitiness. Nothing really stands out, but very smooth and drinkable. mabel (1662), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 15, 2008 [1638-20080830] 355mL bottle. Grainy slightly skunky fish malt aroma. Clear, amber orange body with a medium-lasting foamy off-white head. Grainy malt flavour has some weird yeast in it. Medium body. Drinkable, not bad.
