Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, moderate hoppy, grapefruit, citrus - orange peel, moderate yeasty. Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Nutty, malty, and creamy with no harsh bitterness that you find in some barley wines. This is a nice cold weather brew. Very good. Nose of sweet caramel, roasted malt and absolutely delicious. Taste is sweet toasted caramel, nice hops on the finish and almost perfectly balanced. Amber with ring. Cinnamon clove orange caramel aroma. Caramel fruit spice mild alcohol flavors, syrupy, not bitter. Not sure what I was expecting, but this was disappointing.
