22-oz bottle, 2007 vintage. Pours dark brown with a thin, fizzy, light brown head, somewhat lasting with fair lacing. Aroma is average malt (cookie, bread, caramel), heavy hops (perfume, flowers), average yeast (earth, leaves) with notes of dates, alcohol, and cola. Full bodied, alcoholic texture, average carbonation, and a spicy-bitter finish. Long duration, moderate sweetness, acidity, and bitterness; ends with a spicy alcohol bite.

Deep opaque purple almost black. Big port wine and plum flavors with a full bodied and sweet finish. Finally got a chance to try this one and am really glad I did. This is one of the smoothest, most well rounded and balanced bw I think I’ve ever had. Complexity was a little lacking but as far as straight bw’s go, this one was it. Anybody want to send me anymore?

Pours a deep amber color with a tan head. Aroma is aged malts, caramel, crystal malts, and prune. Flavor is malty, prune, caramel, some hops, and alcohol.

Bottle. Winner of 07 BW festival, had to try. Pour red brown. Flavor is dark fruit, plum rasin but in low quantily, flavor is dominated by bittering hops. Makes me wonder if Arctic devil was entered.

Thank you After4ever/Tom for this one! It’s a vintage 2007. The color is mahogany red and the head is huge, nice and creamy. The aroma has sweetness, notes of roasted malt, dark fruits, hops and light citrus. The flavour has sweetness, citrus hops, oranges, raisin, dark fruit, burnt sugar and the finish has light citrus. It’s nice, but there are even better ones out there...

07–22oz bottle @Vero Beach Throwdown-pours a dissipating off white head and mahogany color. Aroma is sweet dark fruit-plum/dark cherry. Taste is sweet dark fruit-plum/dark cherry, bitter, alcohol. 22 oz. bottle shared with kleyland. Pours a dark leather color. Thin, off-white head. Aroma of piney hops and dark fruit. Toffee notes in the flavor, along with plums warming alcohol, and caramel malt. Bitter finish.

french toast aroma, like multigrain bread and sticky sweet condensed maple syrup. sweet velvet, warm and happy. viscous sweetness yields to cherry wood with floral herbal notes.
