Thanks to riversideAK for getting me this one. A thick dark red pour with a small tan head. Heavy caramel malt and bubble gum aroma. Flavor has nice citrusy hops, caramel, toffee, and a bit of dark fruit. Finished pretty thick, slightly bitter and clean. Very nice!

Bottle from 5000. Pours a dark ruby color with no head. Aroma of cherries, light caramel, and earth. The flavor was the same with a nice hop presence. Thick, rich, and chewy. This is some good stuff here.

Rated twice within 2 months, went with the higher rating. Great big maltiness with a descent hop kick. Some toffee and even hints of light smokiness, but mostly tastes like a rich malty DIPA. Delicous.

Ruby brown pour with a thin off-white head. Big malty nose with a flavor that is rich and lightly smoky, full of caramel malts and sweetness. Nice hop balance. Full mouthfeel. Very tasty.

2007 vintage, 22oz. bomber. Pours a nice clear dark garnet with a two finger creamy biege head and spotty lacing. Aroma is sweet caramelly malts, brown sugar, ripe dark fruits, vanilla and light citrus in the background. Flavor brings all that along, with more caramel malts, toffee, brown sugar, vanilla and dark fruits, warming but not alcoholic. Wow, between this and Arctic Devil, Alaska just might be my favorite barleywine spot in the world! Can’t wait to try both with some age on them...

22oz bottle shared with the Chi-Town crew. Spicy hop profile in front of a thick, malty base on the nose. Some floral notes and a touch of soap. Pours dark ruby/copper with light spotty lacing. Nice balance of syrupy caramel malt and spicy hops. Touch of alcohol hotness. Lush and creamy on the palate. Slightly syrupy but in no way distracting. Lengthy hoppy finish. Thanks Matt!
