Draft 08’, on the darker side of barley wines, hella malty and quite thick, gets more so once you allow it to warm up. I’m aging sum bottles of it in bottle but $8.99 is a little steep but i’ve seen worse. My expextations out did my actual experience. good but a little too malty for me. Tried an 04 or 05 and hardliver 2007 and I thought the past years were better than this years. They were not as dark and malty, aged very well.

Jul 7, 2008 2007 bomber. Poured deep reddish-brown with a shorter-lived, but easily-resuscitated tan head. The aroma was deep and fruity with solid doses of toasted caramel, brittle toffee, and rum.. accented by floral and dry herbal hoppage.. at room temp the warmth eminating from the elixir made my eyes burn a little. The flavor had a deep, syrupy, rum-infused caramel and dark pitted fruit core with grapefruit, herbal, and grainy dark fruit bitterness surrounding.. alcohol was warming and made the mouth tingle (never harsh).. picked up raisins on the memorable finish. Heavier-bodied with lower carbonation and a syrupy disposition.. peppery alcohol laced the edges and the finish stuck with me.. this came together very well.

Jul 2, 2008 Bomber...2007 Bottle...Ruddy brown-tan head...nice drippy lacing...when the light shines through it, it looks like dark ripe cherries....sweet malt aromas-and alcohol soaked cherries....creamy body...flavors of alcohol initially, its bitter-sweet in the mouth...has cherry and prune essences, but soaked in booze...its a good barley, the style I enjoy--very balanced

Jun 23, 2008 2007 Bottle courtesy Ibrew2or3. Pours a clear deep amber with a one finger off-white head that fades leaving good lacing. Aroma of sweet caramel, dark fruit, light alcohol, and light floral hops. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium full mouthfeel with a moderate amount of bitterness and well hidden alcohol. Very good.

Jun 23, 2008 2007 bomber. This mahogany colored beauty provides amble aromas of toffee and dark fruits. Flavor is malt accented, with notes of raisins, caramel and honey covered dark fruits. Really well balanced. It’s easy to tell why it has so many accolades.

Jun 17, 2008 2007 Bottle that I’ve had for a while, decided it would be a good beer to drink tonight with my girlfriend. Pours a big big dark brown with a 1 finger tan head. Nose is sweet and big with some dark fruit feeling. Taste is sweet and robust with dark fruit and some raisins. This is a great BW, looking forward to it warming up some.
