Feb 1, 2009 Sampled at the ’09 Great Alaska Beer and Barley Wine Festival. Very dark brown beer with a creamy brown head. Big grassy nose with some roasted grains and burnt toast. Lots of hops in here with candied grapefruit rinds, apricot and resin. Hot hop burn on the tongue. Balanced by roast grains and some bitter coffee, with a long burnt finish.

Jan 29, 2009 Draft@ The 2009 Great Alaska Beer and Barleywine fest. Dark brown with a tan head. Nice piney and floral hop aroma with roasty malts. Smooth medium body. Strong floral and pine hop flavors riding a caramel sweet and roasty malt base brew. Great mix of caramel, roast and hop flavors here. Alaskan needs to bottle this !
