blutt59 (2042), Dallas, Texas, USA Jul 29, 2008 bottle, light golden color with a floral , orange nose, flavors tend towards apricot and metallic notes, finish is somewhat bitter SamGamgee (1396), Santa Cruz (La Selva), California, USA Jul 27, 2008 Draught, Scott’s in Oakland. Amber with a small head (well, they filled it to the rim), decent foam lacing. Light caramel and herbal scent. The flavor is pretty uninspiring. Yea, this is an IPA, but the hops are a little herbal and rough, with a weak and thin malt body. Not too bitter, but not that smooth either. I’m being hard on this one, but in all fairness it’s a perfectly drinkable beer, just mediocre in the style. hillfiiiiire (283), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Jul 15, 2008 It looks all right with a nice white bubbly head, but it looks pale enough to make me uncomfortable when I consider this to be an IPA. It smells a little citrusy and then a little vomity. The taste just about matches that too. It’s quite unappealing, and that bottle just made me want to drink it so bad. Maybe it’s just failed expectations here? heemer77 (4294), Savannah, Missouri, USA Jul 14, 2008 Bottle. The body was dark gold with an off white colored head. The aroma was strong grapefruit with some peanuts and apples. The taste was grapefruit with some spice. A light piney finish. A nice overall IPA that I would buy a lot more if I could get locally. dm9831 (1167), Monee, Illinois, USA Jul 13, 2008 hazy orange, tiny bubbles ring the rim. nose of grapefruit, citrus, hops. slightyly bitter flavor, creamy tones. medium bodied, slightly bitter finish. not bad, just not exciting. CaptBier (301), Birmingham, Alabama, USA Jul 13, 2008 Bottle. Very nice pungent fruity aroma. Color is a little dull and golden for an IPA. Flavor is there, its just very dull. Kind of bland. Wish there was more of it. blankboy (3165), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jul 12, 2008 Bottle (22oz). Pours a clear yellow-orange with an average size diminishing foamy white head. Very mild aroma of resiny hops and sweet malt -- not much else really, it’s a little dull. Flavour, also mild, of resiny hops and some fruit. Average bitter finish. Average to medium bodied. It’s alright but it is a bit dull, simple and overly mild. Maybe it’s unfair to compare but there’s so many great American IPAs out there to compare it against and this one just doesn’t cut it for me. TikiE (360), Sylva, North Carolina, USA Jul 11, 2008 Bottled: Pours a dark gold color that smells of citrus and hops. Tastes hoppy with a bitter finish. Good, but with the awesome bottle I wanted it to be better!
