Dec 16, 2007 I’m really surprised by how low this beer is ranking. It’s a really solid ipa, somewhat fruity rather than hoppy, so maybe it’s not a traditional ipa, but it’s a great beer.

Dec 16, 2007 Appearance: Pours a clear, light orange-hued body with a lush, bubby off-white head.
Smell: Pleasantly aromatic nose of citrus and soap with a mild addition of caramel malts.
Taste: Juicy citrus flavors of lemon and tangerine. Only a faint hint of caramel as not too much maltiness shows up. There’s a medium bitterness which drops out for a pretty clean, light finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: It could use a bit more of everything, but as it stands it’s still a decent, easy drinking light IPA.

Dec 16, 2007 This beer poured an orange color. A faint lemon and pine aroma. The flavor is only somewhat bitter with some lemons and grapefuit showing. This one seemed rather one dimensional and not very complex. Overall a sub par IPA.

Dec 15, 2007 Pours a transparent bright bronze with a thin, stringy-lacing white head. Aroma of slight grainy malts and some lemon citrus hops. Starts lightly sweet and pale malty with some earthy piny bittering hops toward a drier, bittersweet. This needs a bigger, more assertive hop presence, but it’s still quite drinkable.

Dec 11, 2007 12 oz. bottle from Albertson’s in Burien, WA. Pour is clear golden with a one inch white head and some lasting carbonation bubbles. Aroma of dirt and some resin pine hops. Not terribly pronounced. Taste is actually not that great. I had hoped for more, but this tastes pretty much like any IPA you would have at a run of the mill brew pub.

Dec 7, 2007 Bottle at Pt. Loma Seafood. Orange golden in color with a little head. Little hoppy aroma with some soggy cardboard notes. Light citrusy hoppy flavor. Could be a much better beer. Ok tasting.

Nov 29, 2007 Bottle at Pt Loma Seafood. Orange gold with a small head. The hops have fallen quite a bit and you can also get a bit of soggy cardboard. Athlugh the code seems to say 9/19/07, this been has seen better days. There is a decent citrus to it though along with a scent (chinook?) hoppiness. I’d love to try this beer fresher.
