Commercial Description:
Alaskan IPA is honey gold in color with a fruity, citrus aroma. An enticing blend of hops and our dry hopping process, in which hops are added directly to tanks during fermentation, give this brew a very intense, complex aromatic character with a refreshing hop finish.

Picked up a single 12-oz bottle at John’s Marketplace in Portland, Oregon. Pours a semi-hazy golden amber brew with a decent off-white head that has some good retention and lacing. Aroma of some caramel malt and a touch of grapefruit zest. Taste is medium bodied, lightly carbonated with a decent balance of caramel malt and flowery hops. Finish is slightly dry with a sweet grapefruit and caramel flavor. Not an over the top IPA to impress the hopheads but wold be considered a good American Pale Ale.

Another from Skyview. Gold color with a medium head. Floral hop aroma. Very plain flavor that has just a bit of sweetness and a bit of bitterness. Certainly not bad, but not really good either.

Thanks to Skyview for sharing. Pours a light orangish golden color. Light earthy citrusy hoppiness on the nose. Very dry hoppiness, but the flavor is very muted. Not that great. re-rate 3-5-09 This is a hell of a session IPA, of course fresh could help, as I am in NW MT now, but it was well balanced with a nice piney floral hoppiness and a nice subtle malt backbone.

Bottle - A classic IPA with strong hoppy notes. This beer is a nice light amber color with active carbonation, the head is then but has a nice lasting power. I am pleased with this selection and would pick up some more.

Bottle. Nice solid hoppy IPA, more balanced and complex than I was expecting. Amber colored with a standard white head. Clean finish. Great drinkable session IPA.

Pours a clear gold/orange with a slight off-white head. Hops, caramel malt, citrus, and pine. Pretty standard stuff, but still not bad. Nothing to look for, but I’d still drink it.

Pretty mild stuff here. Light caramel malt sweetness with tinges of very minimal hop bite. Basically left me wanting more of everything...except this beer.

22oz bottle. Love the label to this bottle. Pours a golden color with small white head. Piney hop aroma, flavor is mild for an IPA. Not bad but also not the best. Average IPA.
