Nothing fancy going on here: just some mild hoppiness, crisp nose and mouthfeel, and easy drinking. One of my favorite session beers. yemenmocha (354), Glendale, Arizona, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Sep 18, 2009 Pours pale golden color with moderate sized white head. In the glass you might mistake it for a macro lager in terms of color.
Nose is prickly grapefruit and lemon, but overall on the lighter side. Very subdued.
On the palate a more balanced malt/hop balance is apparent for an IPA, with nothing too extreme going on. Perhaps this is more of a traditional IPA than "American" IPA.
Finish is dry with pine. Easy drinking IPA. Stuedmaster (11), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 11, 2009 Nice thick white head on a light golden brew, with decent lacing. Aroma is clean and citrusy, perhaps grapefruit. Flavor is light and hoppy, not much body. A good session beer, served nice and cold after a hot excursion in the sun. I guess I’ve been spoiled by all of these powerful California IPA’s. This is more like a regular pale ale and doesn’t pack much punch. GandGKevin (189), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 10, 2009 Aromas: Wonderful citrusy hop aromas.
Flavors: Good citrus flavors.
Palate: A little thin on the palate with a mild bitterness.
Overall: A very tasty IPA. hoppopotamus (182), Santa Cruz, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 7, 2009 A fizzy yellow beer with a big white head that dies fast but leaves some nice lacing. Aroma is hoppy, but vague and weak. Flavor is similarly vague hops, a bit of hop bitterness, not much malt to speak of. A bit watery. pretty mediocre IPA. Steib (574), Queen Creek, Arizona, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 5, 2009 Rich golden amber color, well carbonated. Tangy hoppy citrus aroma. Sweet sharpe-like flavor on the tongue. Has some white bread characteristics. Not much of a hop bite, more like a pale ale. Sits mild on the palate at the end, hops should be screaming at the back of the tongue. Not bad though. DiabolikDUB (143), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 29, 2009 Poured from Bottle into Tulip glass.
Pours a clear orange-yellow color with a finger of creamy head that remains a layer atop the glass as the beer is drank. Aroma is citrus, grassy hops with some touches of malt. The flavor is light citrus hops and malt upfront with some lemon zest and soft bitter finish. Its light to medium bodied with a nice crispness. This is an easy drinking IPA. I would really just prefer a little more hop character to this beer but the malt and the of the beer body is just where I believe an IPA should be. tokyogoat (507), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 26, 2009 Pleasantly surprised, Poured on tap into a standard pint glass. Poured a bubbly sun yellow. Nose was of basic PNW hops. Taste was nice, slightly sweet but simple body, Tasted like it was just crystal 40 and carapils and then a handfull of hops. For a basic IPA its not too bad.
