Commercial Description:
Alaskan IPA is honey gold in color with a fruity, citrus aroma. An enticing blend of hops and our dry hopping process, in which hops are added directly to tanks during fermentation, give this brew a very intense, complex aromatic character with a refreshing hop finish.

Smells of citrus and bitter hops with a faint aroma of sweet malts. Taste is not quite as pungent as I was expecting. A little watery then the full flavor of the hops comes through. Not a bad IPA, but there is better.

Golden color, no haze. Off-white head. Nicely floral hoppy nose, but nothing that smacks you about. Taste is well, IPA light is my first impression. At least for a West Coast IPA. Would fall closer into normal in the rest of the US. Light, slightly sweet and easy to drink. Sure as hell beats mowing the lawn.

Thanks MikeTD, still can’t believe $3 for a bomber in Cali. Clear light orange pour, small head. Light citrus, real leafy fresh hops. Light crystal malt backbone. Hop bitterness with lots of citrus flavor and aroma. Full mouthfeel, not a huge flavor profile but very drinkable.

Pours a medium sized white head, retention is fair witha smattering of stringy, spotty lace. Clear gold colored brew. Nose is quiet, gentle malts, lightly grainy, subdued hops, a touch floral and spicey. Body is lightly medium, nice carbonation, lightly oily. Caramel malts are lightly sweet, floral fruity flavors, peaches, light honey notes, citrus, a little toasty. Lightly sweet finish, light fruitiness. Pretty tame IPA. Thanks for the bottle Cliff!

Clear gold pour with a wall of bubbles for a head. Nice release of citrus hops, with some pine and soap. Bit more soap in the taste, but that turns quickly into buttery hops and toasty malt. Not bad.

This draft brew from the Oregon Brewers festival poured a head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a transparent softly carbonated light copper brown colored body and a fair lacing. The mild aroma was malty. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The smooth flavor contained notes of mild piney cascade hops. A decent one that I would consider buying again.

[435-20070725] 355mL (w/ jerc, tuqueboy). Grapefruit hoppy citrus aroma with wheaty light band-aid notes. Clear, orange yellow body with a long-lasting creamy white head. Grainy yeast hops flavour. Medium body. Nicely muted hops flavour.
