jeff789 (359), Pennsylvania, USA Apr 6, 2009 mild hoppy citrus aroma, a touch creamy... light golden amber with little head retention... Light flavor easy drinking ipa, a bit on the thin side... A touch of citrus and bread... Medium thin mf and body... average gorditoabd (162), San Diego, California, USA Apr 1, 2009 Pours golden with decent foam that dissolves within a minute or so, leaving just a film. Slight, bittersweet aroma, but you have to really get your nose in there to pick up much. Carbonated, bitter, hoppy taste hits hard at the start, but then fades to a very manageable piney flavor that is pleasant enough. Decent mouthfeel, though the hops and bitterness do linger a bit longer than ideal, upon taking a few more tastes, I think this is a nice offering, good enough for a barbecue or a plate of wings, but not a night of serious beer tasting. scooterbub (332), Lander, Wyoming, USA Mar 31, 2009 651 ml bottle. Pours a gold color with a decent, clingy white head that lasts. Lots of carbonation. Taste is of pine, hops and fruit. Has a nice bitterness to it. Similar aroma. Full, slightly oily body. Very easy to drink and rather refreshing. Dastrn (115), Warsaw, Indiana, USA Mar 28, 2009 All around good IPA.
A: clear copper with small head that shrunk quickly, but stuck to the side of the glass until the beer was gone.
S: floral hops, grass, raisin
T: Very hoppy, not too bitter. Not much in the malt department.
M: fizzy in the front, dry in the middle, sudsy in the back.
D: easy to drink if you’re already an IPA guy A little too hoppy for the average joe. BOLTZ7555 (1053), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Mar 18, 2009 On tap at Old Chicago. Brew pours a fairly uneventful 14 karat gold with moderate carbonation and 2-finger fluffy white head. Aroma is ripe citrus including grapefruit and lemon zest, and has only a hint of pine. Nothing terribly complex in this one but drinkable. Medium mouthfeel. graham515 (420), Houston, Texas, USA Mar 16, 2009 Pours gold into the glass with a small white head. Aroma is full of citrus and grapefruit. Flavor is very assertive hops with a minimal malt presence. A bit unbalanced, but enjoyable.
