Plenty of hops on the palate, deliciously citrus and moreish, with an earthy finish. iowaherkeye (1877), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 5, 2008 22oz bomber, stamped A092008--something about September 20th? Hopefully not the best by date. Purchased @ Bottle Barn. Aroma has pine and pine air fresheners, light perfume, and some watered-down caramel malts. Clear golden with a one finger off-white head, fading to a think film and thick ring. Flavor leans more malty, though not watered-down this time. There is still the soft pine notes, and floral perfume does come across a bit in the finish, which is semi-dry. Bitterness peaks at a 3-4. Moderate carbonation with a medium body. A good IPA. Not a West Coast hop bomb, but good. RAYBOY01 (1869), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 17, 2007 Pretty mild stuff here. Light caramel malt sweetness with tinges of very minimal hop bite. Basically left me wanting more of everything...except this beer. Crosling (1856), Loveland, Colorado, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 15, 2008 Light golden/bronze color with a small foam. Woodsy and medicinal hop aroma, with some herbaceousness as well. Fairly aromatic, but not pleasant for me at all. Flavor is fairly hoppy, also woodsy like the nose, with spruce hints and some honey covered fruits. Don’t care for the super medicinal nose, but the flavor is pretty spot on for the style and well balanced. Could be brighter, but its a pretty good IPA. | 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 6, 2008 Blah. This was terrible. I did a double take on the label to make sure it really said IPA. Aroma was nothing. Could pick up some grassy hops, but barely. Pour was a standard medium gold with a thin off white ring for a head. Taste was like a bland amber ale. No hops and a hint of malt. Mostly just stale beer flavor. They really missed the mark with this one. SDbruboy (1832), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 10, 2007 12 oz. bottle, from Fred Meyer in Newberg, OR. Pours clear orangey-amber with a small off-white head that diminished quickly. Nice hoppy aroma, floral and citrus with undertones of toasty malts and fresh summer fruit. Flavor is a strange combination of brash and mild, with a nice hop blast that seemed to come and go as I sipped - one time it hit me up front, then quickly gave way to mild toasty malt water, then another time, the mild toasty malt water started out and the hop blast came on in the finish - weird! Anyway, hops are floral and citrus with a bit of spiciness and the malts remain lightly toasty with periodic glimpses of toffee. Light to medium body and agressive carbonation. Not my favorite IPA by any stretch, but definiitely different and interesting. ryan (1781), Beltsville, Maryland, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 8, 2008 Bottle from Dirty_Martini. Hazy pale body with a small white head. Sweet hoppy nose with citrus, dough and honey. The flavor is lightly sweet, lightly bitter with orange peal, tangerine, flowers and cotton candy. Medium body is a bit thin with moderate carbonation. More of an APA than IPA. jake65 (1725), Williston, North Dakota, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 21, 2007 Bottle: Pours a clear golden color with orange hues. A large white head lasts a while and some sticky lacing. The aroma is very solid; a blend of citrus, floral, and piney hops. Taste is a bit lacking. The hop intensity is rather moderate, some malty sweetness and a twinge of lager. It tastes more like a half-n-half of IPA and pale lager. The taste simply doesn’t follow the nose.
