Commercial Description:
Alaskan IPA is honey gold in color with a fruity, citrus aroma. An enticing blend of hops and our dry hopping process, in which hops are added directly to tanks during fermentation, give this brew a very intense, complex aromatic character with a refreshing hop finish.

On tap at Coopers IPA fest ’06 in Seattle.

Pours a hazy amber with a nice head. The aroma is somewhat sweet and candied, with laid back piney hops. The flavor follows; this one is on the sweet chewy malt side for my taste, with a rather subdued hop profile.

Nothing wrong with this beer, but it’s not among the standout IPAs either.

22 oz bomber, Keg N bottle, consumed July 9th. Pours as a firm golden blonde liquid with thin layer of film. The nose is moderately hopped but overall subdued and relaxed. Initial flavor is bitter with puny citrus and hop presence. Finishes with a metallic aftertaste and a bland first impression.

Dark yellow and cloudy body, small, frothy head. Citrus/pine/resin nose with some light maltiness in the background. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderatley bitter. Tastes of grapefruit with hints of orange rind. Medium body and watery texture. Lively carbonation. The finish is lightly acidic. Nice enough, but nothing beyond ordinary.

On tap at Brouwer’s hop fest. Light copper. Nice hop taste is not at all over the top. Tasty, a good NW drinking IPA.

classic IPA with a gold color and a hoppy aroma and taste. Nothing special sticks out either good or bad. Kinda thin.

Clear amberish pour with a medium foamy head. Citrus and hops aroma and flavor. Medium palate. A good, but fairly standard IPA.

Draft at Billy’s Bar and Grille in Aberdeen, WA on 7/23/07. Light amber with a moderate lasting whtie head and nice lace - a good looking beer. Mild piney op aroma with some substantial caramel malt character. Smooth medium body. Caramel and roasted malt flavors with very soft bitterness in a fading finish. Underwhelming.
