Oct 23, 2009 6 pack from MCAS Miramar Marine Mart: Hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma is lightly grassy citrus and pine. Flavor starts fruity sweet with citrus followed by a sweet, semi-dry grapefruit bitter finish. Medium body is creamy with moderate carbonation.

Aug 6, 2007 Thanks MikeTD, still can’t believe $3 for a bomber in Cali. Clear light orange pour, small head. Light citrus, real leafy fresh hops. Light crystal malt backbone. Hop bitterness with lots of citrus flavor and aroma. Full mouthfeel, not a huge flavor profile but very drinkable.

Jan 10, 2008 Updated: Feb 2, 2008Bottle. An awesome looking IPA! A little clear but nice and light colored with a just off-white/ ivory head. Worty/ fruity smelling malt aroma with some grapefruit hop notes. Slightly sweet and pretty fruity but nicely hopped. Hop forward. Citrusy. Man, I don’t get the ratings here, I think this is an nice IPA!

Aug 6, 2007 Clear gold pour with a wall of bubbles for a head. Nice release of citrus hops, with some pine and soap. Bit more soap in the taste, but that turns quickly into buttery hops and toasty malt. Not bad.

Apr 5, 2007 Nice bouquet of floral hops and grass. Light gold in color with a nice white ehad and lots of effervesence. Some sweet and sour malts are accompanied by modest bitterness - citric and grass. Slight dryness on the swallow. A little thin but quite a quaffer.

Apr 13, 2007 Bottle: Dark gold with an off-white, bubbly head. The aroma is a bit metallic with a flowery hop flavor mixed with hairspray. A bit disappointing, I was expecting more from Alaskan, especially with an IPA. It needs much more of a hop backbone. The aftertaste leaves an impression of malts, not hops.

Feb 4, 2009 On tap. The pour was very light copper in color with a super short white head that created average lacing. The aroma was nice with some soft citrus, floral and a bit of pine hops. The flavor was a combination of the aforementioned hops and some spice and malt. A thin bodied, easy drinking IPA.

Oct 4, 2008 bottle from bevmo in Tempe. A nice ipa, but nothing spectacular. Mild hop presence makes this an optimal ipa for coors drinkers.
