Jun 2, 2008 Bottle sampled at Alan’s HSC initiation, thanks Dogbrick: Aroma on this one is floral, tad of citrus rind. Resiny hop, some citrus, medium-bodied mouthfeel. Not too bad, but not all that memorable.

May 13, 2009 Bomber. Pours golden with a smallish white head. Aroma is malt with some clean, understated hops. Flavor is well balanced and also understated, a mixture of slightly sweet crystal malt, substantial earthy hops in the background, a hint of citrus, hint of yeast, and a bitter finish. Not a big American west-coast-style IPA, but not as laid-back as a British-style IPA either. Does have quite a bit of both hops and malts, and the 6.2% alcohol is completely unnoticeable; but it all manages to come across as not very bold. Respectable and well made, though.

Nov 5, 2007 Pours a clear golden orange color with a fluffy off-white head that reduces in a short while. Laces sporadically. Aromas of perfumey tangerine. Flavors are weak and watery. Thin malt body, mildly toasty. Hop character is muted and does not meld well with the maltiness at all. Grassy and tangerine perfume aftertaste. Moderately bitter.

Aug 10, 2008 Bottle from Market of Choice in Ashland, OR. This IPA was not as piney or fruity as I’m used to. The citrus tasted a cross between lemons and limes with a little floral. Also, it was reasonably malty.

Oct 3, 2007 Bottle. Nice solid hoppy IPA, more balanced and complex than I was expecting. Amber colored with a standard white head. Clean finish. Great drinkable session IPA.

Dec 16, 2007 I’m really surprised by how low this beer is ranking. It’s a really solid ipa, somewhat fruity rather than hoppy, so maybe it’s not a traditional ipa, but it’s a great beer.

Aug 1, 2008 Nice fruity smell, flavor starts good but turns rough quickly. Almost metallic. Not a favorite IPA at all.
