Jun 20, 2007 Bomber from AA Liquors. Pretty standard fare, but more likable than some of their offerings. Doesn’t seem like a 6.2% IPA, seems more like a standard APA. Good nonetheless and a solid standby for the price.

Aug 1, 2008 Nice fruity smell, flavor starts good but turns rough quickly. Almost metallic. Not a favorite IPA at all.

Nov 20, 2009 Had this beer in the Anchorage airport. I don’t know about this one. I can see the direction the brewer was trying to go but the hop profile on this one is something I would love to know because while very bitter and at the appropriate level, something about the flavor of this beer was a bit harsh. A strong hit of pine that was pleasing at first but then became astringent. It’s almost as if there wasn’t enough malt to balance it all out. It left me wishing it was a more well rounded brew. I dunno good effort and wouldn’t turn it down, just don’t know if I would seek it out.

May 8, 2008 Pours a nice golden color with frothy white head. Great lasting head with stuck solid lacing. Aroma is spicy hops. Flavor is actually well balanced. Some malt charecter with some hops coming through as well. Clean finish with some lingering hops. Not bad, very similar to Bridgeport.

Mar 4, 2009 Aroma of hops, but not too strong. Slightly citric and floral but also bit of an earthy scent as well. Golden in color with a small off white head. Taste is of malt and dry hop flavors. This is a pretty good beer but is not nearly as hoppy as most american IPA’s, could almost be classified as a strong pale ale.

Mar 16, 2009 Pours gold into the glass with a small white head. Aroma is full of citrus and grapefruit. Flavor is very assertive hops with a minimal malt presence. A bit unbalanced, but enjoyable.

Apr 3, 2007 aroma more sweet then hoppy, though the nose hairs know. egg whites. clear blondish amber with measly off-white head. wants to linger in the mouth a little, though light in weight. gives the tongue just a pinch. while the hops are clearly present I appreciate the malt presence, more weight than sweetness, as good grain should, cleanly. would be a great session beer, a little hoppier than most, but of a good weight & lack of lingering.

Aug 22, 2009 Bottled. Seems more like a Pale Ale. Only faint hops on the nose and tongue. Maybe I just bought an old 6pack? Mild bitterness but I don’t detect the citrus on this at all. I bought it as it was on sale and I had not tried it before. I should have spent the extra 2-3 bucks for some GreenFlash or Lagunitas.
